The Corrosion Control in the Refining Industry (CCRI) course provides methods of corrosion control through material selection and designing a systematic method for applying the technology of corrosion prevention to the design process.
Classroom instruction is comprised of lectures and open discussions.
Who Should Attend:
Anyone who needs the ability to recognize corrosion and understand its devastating potential, especially as it relates to his or her area of responsibility in the refining industry. This includes:
Prerequisites to register and attend the course: No prior training is required. However 1-2 years of work experience and Basic Corrosion course is recommended.
Certification: The multiple-choice CBT exam is delivered via Pearson VUE and scheduled and paid for separately from the course.
To receive a certificate of completion* must be attend the entire course and successfully pass each learning assessment for the course. With CCRI course the student can achieve the Refining Corrosion Technologist Certification submitting Bachelor's degree in a physical science or engineering, plus two years' verifiable corrosion work experience in the refining industry -OR- four years' verifiable corrosion work experience in the refining industry.
