The Protective Coating Specialist 1 - Basic Principles (PCS1) course introduces both the theoretical and practical aspects of using coatings to control corrosion and the economic benefits of managing them.
Common corrosion control coatings are defined and when, how, and where they should be used.
Classroom instruction is comprised of lectures and open discussions and concludes with a written exam.
Who Should Attend:
Prerequisites to register and attend the course: No prior training is required.
Certification: To receive a certificate of completion* must be attend the entire course and successfully pass each learning assessment for the course. With PCS 1 Basic Principles Course the student can achieve the Protective Coating Technician and Corrosion Technologist Certification.
